Dorothy S. Eisenberg, is a prominent certified public accountant who manages the largest and most complex tax and general accounting and business matters for the region’s prominent high net-worth individuals and businesses.
Ms. Eisenberg’s clients rely on her for her exceptional strategic counsel on multi-state sales and use tax and income tax issues, advising clients on nexus and filing determination for multijurisdictional businesses. She advises them on all aspects of their business decisions in the areas of tax planning and consulting, accounting, compliance, mergers and acquisitions as well as operational and strategic planning. Ms. Eisenberg also consults with closely held family businesses, sophisticated high net-worth individuals and multi-generation family owned businesses.
Ms. Eisenberg began her career working for a large New York City firm and later joined Gerson Preston. She has extensive experience representing clients during federal and state tax audits and successfully handled and negotiated assessments that minimize clients’ exposure. Over the tenure of her career, she has cultivated a significant background across industries including healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, retail and professional services.
Ms. Eisenberg is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has been selected as an Influential Business Woman Leader by the SFBJ recognizing the region’s top leaders in their respective fields. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum, a prestigious network of international female business leaders across thirty-five countries worldwide.
As one of the few female name partners in the accounting industry today, Ms. Eisenberg is a big believer in giving back by helping other women find success and assume positions of leadership. She is an Advisory Board Member and Past President of The Commonwealth Institute, an organization comprised of female executives dedicated to providing mentorship and resources to help women grow their own businesses. She is also a member of the Citizens Board at the University of Miami and served as Chair of its Women’s Society.
Additionally, Ms. Eisenberg is passionate about empowering and improving lives through the access to quality education. She currently serves as a Board of Trustee Member of the Council for Educational Change (CEC), where she focuses on improving student achievement and addressing critical education issues in Florida’s public schools. She has held a number of volunteer and mentorship positions including TCI Strategies for Success and the University of Miami’s Business Mentoring Programs. She has also served as an Advisory Board Member to the Broward County Public School System.
